Samantha Jacobson was born outside of Philadelphia to her Jewish-American father and English mother who steadily renovated their 100 year old stone house around her and siblings as they grew up. She graduated with a B.A. in theatrical costume design from Marymount Manhattan College and worked on New York City Broadway & television productions before switching her focus to murals and multidisciplinary art. She has lived all over the USA including a long stint in Austin, TX from 2016-2024. Now back in her hometown of Philly, Samantha’s work continues to be influenced by character (both human and environmental) as she grows her studio and public art practices.
